Last year in 2013, Top Notch Repairs was mandated to complete the entire restoration of the truck, to bring it back to its most original condition. The deadlines were tight, and we achieved it in 5 weeks.
Please allow us to present a short slideshow of this very special 1943 Chevrolet 1.5 tons (G506 serie) G7173 Highway Digger. The truck, affectuously called "The Digger", belongs to Valley Electric Association coop, here in Pahrump.
On the mechanical side, the motor and transmission were rebuilt. The onboard machinery were checked and prepped to fully functional condition as well.
And on the body side, heavy body work effort were given to restore and keep 95% of its original parts. Then, the Digger was painted using its original color. The upholstery was replaced indeed, and, well, the truck came out quite nice don't you think?
